Over U-Boat
U-Boat was founded in 2000 by Italian designer Italo Fontana, inspired by his grandfather Ilvo's 1942 sketches, who was once commissioned to design watches for the Italian Navy. Each U-Boat watch is handcrafted in Tuscany, is immediately recognizable by its striking crown on the left side of the case, and combines Italian craftsmanship with Swiss precision movements. A watch for those who dare to stand out
U-Boat was founded in 2000 by Italo Fontana, who built on the designs his grandfather drew for the Italian navy in the 1940s. The U-Boat Darkmoon Red SS Capsoil continues this approach with a round 44mm silver stainless steel case and a black dial. The movement is a Ronda quartz movement (caliber 712.3).
The oil-filled Capsoil case completely suppresses reflections, making the dial look clean and deep regardless of the light. Protection is not lacking: sapphire crystal, a screwed crown and water resistance up to 5 bar. On the wrist is a 22mm silicone strap with a buckle.
