Over U-Boat

U-Boat was founded in 2000 by Italian designer Italo Fontana, inspired by his grandfather Ilvo's 1942 sketches, who was once commissioned to design watches for the Italian Navy. Each U-Boat watch is handcrafted in Tuscany, is immediately recognizable by its striking crown on the left side of the case, and combines Italian craftsmanship with Swiss precision movements. A watch for those who dare to stand out

U-Boat was founded in 2000 by Italo Fontana, who continued the designs his grandfather drew for the Italian navy in the 1940s. This translates into a round brown 44mm stainless steel case, set against a black dial. It is powered by a Ronda quartz movement (calibre 712.3).

The oil-filled Capsoil case completely suppresses reflections, making the dial look sleek and deep regardless of the light. Sapphire crystal, a screwed crown and water resistance up to 5 bar make it resistant to daily use. It is finished with a 22mm leather strap with buckle.
