Over U-Boat

U-Boat was founded in 2000 by Italian designer Italo Fontana, inspired by his grandfather Ilvo's 1942 sketches, who was once commissioned to design watches for the Italian Navy. Each U-Boat watch is handcrafted in Tuscany, is immediately recognizable by its striking crown on the left side of the case, and combines Italian craftsmanship with Swiss precision movements. Since 2000, U-Boat has been building watches that cannot be ignored, with a design language that directly harks back to marine instruments. The U-Boat Sommerso is a men's watch with a round 46 mm silver stainless steel case and a green dial. Behind the dial is an automatic Sellita movement (calibre SW200-1), providing a power reserve of 41 hours and 26 jewel bearings.

Its proven 30 bar water resistance makes the watch usable where most models fall short. Practically, it offers a date display. Sapphire crystal and a screw-down crown make it resistant to daily use. The finish consists of a 22 mm silicone strap with a buckle. The case height remains within limits at 17 mm.
