Over U-Boat
U-Boat was founded in 2000 by Italian designer Italo Fontana, inspired by his grandfather Ilvo's 1942 sketches, who was once commissioned to design watches for the Italian Navy. Each U-Boat watch is handcrafted in Tuscany, is immediately recognizable by its striking crown on the left side of the case, and combines Italian craftsmanship with Swiss precision movements. A watch for those who dare to stand out
U-Boat was founded in 2000 by Italo Fontana, who drew on the designs his grandfather created for the Italian Navy in the 1940s. This translates here into a round 44mm stainless steel case, set against a black dial. Power comes from a Ronda quartz movement (calibre 712.3).
The oil-filled Capsoil case completely suppresses reflections, making the dial look sharp and deep regardless of the lighting. Sapphire crystal, a screw-down crown and water resistance to 5 bar make it suitable for daily use. It comes with a 22mm silicone strap with a buckle.
