Over U-Boat

U-Boat was founded in 2000 by Italian designer Italo Fontana, inspired by his grandfather Ilvo's 1942 sketches, who was once commissioned to design watches for the Italian Navy. Each U-Boat watch is handcrafted in Tuscany, is immediately recognizable by its striking crown on the left side of the case, and combines Italian craftsmanship with Swiss precision movements. Since 2000, U-Boat has been building watches with a powerful presence and a design language that directly harks back to marine instruments. The U-Boat Darkmoon Brown Vintage Capsoil continues this approach with a round 40 mm bronze stainless steel case and a brown dial. It is powered by a Ronda quartz movement (calibre 712.3).

The oil-filled Capsoil case completely suppresses reflections, making the dial look sleek and deep regardless of the light. Protection is ample: sapphire crystal, a screwed crown, and water resistance up to 5 bar. It is worn on a 20 mm silicone strap with a buckle.
