Since 1983, G-Shock has stood for shock resistance throughout its construction, not as an addition but as a starting point. This is reflected here in a 45mm black octagonal plastic case, set against a gold dial. Behind the dial is a Casio quartz movement (calibre 5611). Readability is via an analogue-digital display.
The 20 bar water resistance elevates this model far above the level of an average splash-proof watch. In addition, there are alarm, chronograph, and date display functions. There is no lack of protection: mineral glass. The watch is worn on a plastic strap with a buckle. The case height remains within limits at 12 mm.
